Dating back to the early 18th century, The Ship Inn is a splendid old building that lies close to the sandy beaches of St Austell Bay. Owned and personally run by local publican Chris Giles, this large establishment has plenty to offer both locals and visitors alike.

From the inviting bar visitors can enjoy a variety of quality ales (we are in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide), including some from local breweries, as well as draught lager, cider and spirits, There is also a tasty range of bar snacks,and the Carvery is served Wednesday to Sunday lunchtime and evenings. Other meals and specials are also served at both lunchtime and in the evening. A well known and popular place for a celebration meal, the menus here are sure to excite even the most jaded palate.

Outside too there is much for the inn's customers: to the side and rear are well maintained gardens where there is there a bandstand, and also a play area for children.
